TAYLOR GOGGINS, DDS
Dr. Goggins is originally from Houston, Texas, and moved away briefly to attend Brigham Young University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He took two years off from pursuing his education to serve a church mission in Mexico City, where he became fluent in Spanish. He then returned to Texas to study at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. During his dental studies, he received numerous awards and accolades, including scholarships and research grants, and held multiple leadership positions, including president of the Hispanic Student Dental Association. After receiving his Doctor of Dental Science degree, Dr. Goggins completed a three-year residency program at Baylor College of Dentistry. He also is a former clinical assistant professor at Baylor College of Dentistry Department of Restorative Sciences.
Dr. Goggins and his wife love spending time with their three girls and son, exploring the mountains in both the winter and summer, skiing, and hiking. The four leading ladies in his life and his baby boy keep him quite busy with their passions for traveling, reading and art.
Nate Chertok, DDS, MS
Dr Chertok studied Biology at University of Illinois in Chicago before receiving a Master of Health Sciences at West Virginia University. He attended dental school at West Virginia University where he continued his education and training with a Master of Science and Certificate in Prosthodontics. A specialty in prosthodontics enables Dr. Chertok to perform high level, complex rehabilitative oral care. He enjoys the functional and esthetic challenges involved in prosthodontic care and strives to maintain this level of care with an ethical and personal perspective.
Originally hailing from Yerucham, Israel, Dr. Chertok was drawn to the social and environmental beauty of Colorado. He just moved to the Virginia Vale area with his wife, Dahlia, and children, Lielle and Noam. They are excited for new adventures as we explore the area. When he is not working, you can find him road-biking, hiking, skiing and spending time with his family.
Dr. Timothy Chae, DMD
Dr. Tim Chae grew up in the DC Metro area in Maryland. He completed his undergrad at Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree. After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Tim did two years of bone endocrinology research at Mass General while working to complete a post-baccalaureate degree at Harvard.
Dr. Tim studied at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, earning his degree of Dental Medicine (DMD), while also holding the title of Treasurer of his graduating class. Since graduation, he has continued active research which earned him the national award of 2018 AADR Student Research Fellowship.
While in dental school, Dr. Tim enrolled in an additional two-year program called Academic Career Track Area of Concentration (ACT ARCO) to develop leadership skills and gain foundation in teaching and research.
Dr. Tim’s prosthodontics residency was completed at the University of Rochester with a focus on implant and complex restorative dentistry using CAD/CAM workflows. He says he chose prosthodontics because he wants to help patients with complex, reconstructive needs.
Luciano Retana, DMD
Dr. Luciano Retana is a third-generation dentist that has a wide academic background, acquired in top tier Universities in Costa Rica, Argentina, and the United States. These certify him as a highly trained professional in the field of Implant Dentistry and Oral Rehabilitation.
In order to keep up with the latest scientific and technological advances in the field of implant dentistry, and incorporating such advances in his practice, Dr. Luciano has participated in various international conferences and has also taken several specialization courses abroad. This experience has turned him into a leading expert as well as an international speaker in this field. Dr. Luciano is a well-known member of different recognized dental associations, which have accredited him for the formal practice of his profession, nationally and internationally. His renowned academic training and professional experience has allowed him to work with some of the most prominent doctors in dentistry, and some of the major dental specialty clinics, as director of the implant department.
Dr. Luciano Retana completed his undergraduate studies, where he received his DDS degree in 2005. He obtained his first Master of Science and specialty in Prosthodontics with an emphasis in dental implants from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2008. In 2012 he completed the advanced education program for international dentists CCAD in Implantology at New York University. In 2017 he went back to School at Louisiana State University, to complete his second Master of Science in Dentistry, his Certificate in Prosthodontics, and his Certification as a Dental Technician in 2020. During his residency he was elected Chief resident. He maintains a private practice focusing on comprehensive restorative and implant dentistry while keeping a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Prosthodontic Post-Grad Program at Texas A & M and a Gratis Faculty position at the department of Prosthodontics at the Louisiana State University. He has lectured nationally and internationally on Immediate Loading, Computer Guided surgery, CAD CAM Dentistry, Implants in the Esthetic Zone, Guided Bone Regeneration, and Occlusion.
John Gittins, DDS, FACP
Dr. John Gittins always had a love for science and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Weber State University. He attended Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011. He was awarded a scholarship with the U.S Army and was one of four dentists accepted into the Army’s Prosthodontics Residency Training Program at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. After completing his residency in 2015, he served as the Chief of Prosthodontics and Dental Technology at Fort Riley, Kansas. There, he was instrumental in the care of soldiers and the mentorship of over 30 general dentists.
John was inducted as a Diplomat by the American Board of Prosthodontics following the completion of his board exams in 2015. This is the highest honor a specialist can be awarded. He is one of only 1,000 worldwide.
After his military commitment was complete, he began teaching prosthodontics at the Roseman University College of Dental Medicine while also maintaining a private practice. He is loved by both his patients and students and genuinely cares for each one of them.
John met his wife, Jessica, while attending Weber State University, and they married in 2002. They have four beautiful children: Harper, Holland, Haisley and Hatcher. John loves having fun with his family, exploring nature and eating good food. He has three life rules. First, whatever you do, do it with passion. Second, don’t take yourself too seriously. And third, take time with the people you love.
